POSITIVES…
Have you as a non-criminal, who has seen a fair share of crime films, ever fantasized about committing a heist with your friends? Then this is so the movie for you.
From the aforementioned heist sequence, the chase scenes, and the gun fights, this movie has some solid thrilling situations.
When this film gets tense and suspenseful, it really gets tense and suspenseful.
Has several set pieces in specific locations that puts you on the edge of your seat.
Does a great job of bringing our primary characters to life, with a very strong performance by Lee Jehoon, and Hae-soo Park as the villain.
The way these friends interact with each other, will likely be something you can relate with, and only makes you even more connected with these characters. They are the heart of this story.
I really appreciated that sense of realism and humility in how these “amateur” criminals react to the high stress predicament they just put themselves in.
NEGATIVES…
First 30 minutes; while important to the movie, can feel a little too long and meanders quite a bit.
I would have preferred if it didn’t have some of those plot coincidences and conveniences.
Some people might not be too satisfied with the conclusion.
