POSITIVES…
Kudos to the screenplay for the frank, snarky, and rude dialogue that’s found in this movie. I was very entertained by it.
The sheer honesty found in this movie is a breath of fresh air, and it was easy to get engaged with the premise. I hope you don’t get too offended.
Writer / Lead Actress Kelly O’Sullivan deserves praise for this story, and for playing the role of Bridget who is quite the character.
Ramona Edith Williams as Frances is adorable and fantastic in this! Such the scene stealer. Loved the things she says in this. Out of the mouth of babes indeed.
The interactions between Bridget and Frances is just the best and most delightful thing ever. Definitely the highlight of watching this movie.
Really appreciated the subject matters and themes that this movie tackles. Food for thought.
I was pleasantly surprised at the running joke that is… blood.
“It’s the truth, and women should talk about it more often. Wouldn’t be as lonely.”
NEGATIVES…
I know the character of Bridget can be a bit off putting, and if you can’t put up with that, this movie is not going to work for you.
There are plot turns and character decisions that you are not going to agree with, and that might deter you from ultimately enjoying the story.
In fact, a certain plot point really just might push your suspension of disbelief.
